DENIAL is a Canadian artist who uses his art to comment on consumerism and the human condition. He is based in Windsor Ontario but frequently travels to exhibit his work throughout Canada and the United States, including solo shows in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, New York, Toronto, and Vancouver.
In 2000, he adopted the name 'DENIAL' as a way of poking fun at the advertising, politics, and media messages that contemporary society tends to ignore. Since then, he has maintained a global street campaign that includes over 500,000 stickers, placards, and murals, all featuring the alpha-numeric characters 'D3N!@L'. Through his art, DENIAL not only aims to market absurdism, but also challenges traditional notions of graffiti and public art with his bold and often satirical visual subversions.
