KOZMA is a Detroit-born & raised Pop Surrealist Artist (b.1990) who after earning her BFA from the College for Creative Studies in 2012 went on to co-found the Detroit-based art brand, Armageddon Beachparty in 2013. Her work explores ancient cultural & spiritual beliefs blending the realms of the subconscious from an intrinsically modern perspective. Showcasing an ethos of sultry dreamscapes, elegant abstractions & wild character-driven concepts, she's known for creating a wide range of paintings, murals, sculptures & art installations. Her art & that of Armageddon Beachparty has been exhibited Nationally at Galleries & Festivals around the country & is part of numerous private collections including a large selection of work in the collection of multi-Grammy Award-winning Musician, Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band. In 2018, KOZMA & her art brand co-proprietor MOTU opened a brick & mortar immersive Art Gallery & Venue, the Armageddon Beachparty Lounge featuring their art & ethos in Woodbridge near Midtown, Detroit & for 5 years, the Lounge provided a vibrant creative & cultural platform for a multitude of performers & musicians showcasing both seasoned veterans & emerging talent from Detroit & around the globe. Nationally, KOZMA has exhibited at numerous festivals including Electric Forest (MI), Voodoo Experience (LA) & Afropunk Brooklyn (NY). Her work & that of ABP has also been featured in various publications such as Detroit Metro Times, BLAC Magazine, The Knight Foundation, The Metropolitan, Crains Detroit Business, Curbed Detroit, Essay'd, Model D Media & more.
