" 'Longevidad' is spanish for ''longevity'.

Longevity to me is living a longer life than expected - beyond our physical existence.

For this series, I wanted to take it back to the foundation for where I began as an artist and highlight places, and nostalgic moments from my life that were an essential influence to the platform I have now.

I believe when exploring this subject often there's so much I want to include, but it makes me optimistic knowing it's a great way to start and continue to add.

This is my first solo show ever. I feel like if my foundation is strong and true, I'll feel whole, and i will feel that my life is full circle when I'm able to apply what I've learned so far on this journey. 

Longevidad is my way to pay it forward. I believe everyone has a purpose. I hope we are all able to fulfill what we set ourselves out to do. I hope this series can serve as a great representation of that". - Freddy Diaz|

Longevidad is currently on display at Spot Lite Detroit until December 6, 2024. Works are available to purchase on 1XRUN Tuesday, November 12 or anytime before / after at Spot Lite.
