1010

1010 is a Hamburg based street artist internationally recognized for his large-scale murals that create the illusion of deep, three dimensional portals on flat surfaces. His work explores visual perception through precisely layered color gradients and shadowing techniques that challenge the viewer’s sense of space and dimensionality.

With roots in graffiti culture dating back to the mid 1990s, 1010 has developed a distinctive visual language centered around spatial illusions and abstract forms. His murals often spanning entire facades, rooftops, or urban walkways can be found in cities such as New York, Detroit, Miami, Shenzhen, Hamburg, Warsaw, Dubai, Moscow, and Berlin. One of his most iconic works transformed a 4,500-square-meter stretch of the Paris ring road into what appeared to be a vast, colorful abyss.

Preferring to let his art speak for itself, 1010 continues to redefine architectural surfaces around the world inviting passersby to slow down, shift perspective, and engage with their surroundings in new and unexpected ways.
